Centric Parts 120.40064 Premium Brake Rotor with E-Coating

Bought these 1 year ago to replace the front rotors on My 2008 Honda Odyssey. They have been on the car now for 1 year and more than 12000 miles and they are by far better than OEM Honda rotors. No more grinding noise even when the van is fully loaded and no wrapping or vibrations.

For anyone with the annoying grinding brakes from their OEM brakes, this rotor along with the Akebono pads will eliminate that problem. In the first 3 years, 48k miles I had to service the brakes 3 times, each due to glazing and wrapping of the rotors causing the grinding noise and brake shudder. I came across these on Amazon and read the reviews. For $150 for 2 rotors and a set of pads, the setup is much cheaper than just one OEM rotor alone at the dealership. The braking distance is also comparable, if not better than the OEM part. Before these, I was also afraid to brake too fast because that is how rotors get overheated. Now I don't worry because I know these will hold up.

Like many who have reviewed this rotor, I too installed it on my 2010 Honda Odyssey. Very good quality on initial review. Time will tell how these perform in the long run.

Installation went smoothly, no problems with the pair I received.

Brakes nice, smooth and quiet in combination with Centric 105.1089 Posi-Quiet Ceramic Brake Pad with Shims. Brakes no longer vibrate when stopping at highway speeds (due to warped rotor).

I rebuilt the entire brake system on my 2005 Honda Odyssey EXL...brake fluid flush, new hoses, new rotors, and rebuilt calipers (front)/new Honda calipers (rear), and rebuilt parking brake system at rear. I found these front rotors to be beautiful out of the box. They installed perfectly and after a few weeks and 1000 miles, they are working exceptionally well. I took great care to follow all manufacturer's instructions (shop manual), including as it pertained to the use of M77 assembly paste, the correct installation of shims, and new retainers. I couldn't be happier with the performance of these rotors with aftermarket (Akebono) brake pads.

Perfect fit for Odyssey 2006. paired them with Wagner ThermoQuiet pads.
So far so good. Time will tell if/how they last.
Whoever buys them: make sure you order correct rotors as front and rear rotors are different.
2 screws that hold rotor in place are almost impossible to remove. You'll need impact screwdriver (something like Agile-shop 14Pcs Heavy Duty Impact Screwdriver Driver Bits Tool Socket Set Kit With Case) or just drill them out

I had bought another brand of rotors for the rear of my 05 Odyssey, but that brand's front rotors had poor reviews,so I got these instead. These rotors fit and look great. I used them with Wagner ThermoQuiet pads.
I am mostly a novice to car repair, but there are plenty of Youtube videos showing you how, and quality parts are reasonably priced on Amazon. If you do your own brakes, expect that the rotor screws will be nearly impossible to remove and you will have to drill out at least some of them. I'd recommend ordering the screws at the same time you order the rotors, since they are ridiculously expensive from the dealer.

Description

Centric premium rotors utilize an Electro coating finish that provides long lasting corrosion protection. E-coating is a superior electro-statically applied finish designed to withstand 400 hours of salt water exposure without rusting. Phosphate finishes utilized by other manufacturers provide only minimal protection from the elements; these finishes are generally only effective for the shipping and storage portion of a rotor’s life. The addition of heat and moisture eliminates the effectiveness of phosphate finishes resulting in immediate corrosion once installed in the vehicle.

With 85k miles, I wanted to treat my Ody right.. already having replaced front and rear brakes once @ Honda Service, the brakes never seemed to slow the van smoothly -- like a warped feeling (maybe the rotors were not cut right), so I decided to change them myself this time. The parts arrived in 2 days (Prime) and had a quality look and feel. They installed easily and now, once again seems to be providing smooth stops (as when I purchased the van new). Happy camper so far.

Seemed like high quality, the non-braking surfaces were painted black to reduce rusting and the brake surface area had been machined and cross-hatched. Installed with new pads and the braking action was very smooth, at least for now.

I paired these with Akebono ACT1089 brake pads for my Honda Odyssey. Did the installation myself for the first time. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I got these to replace my warped rotars (would shake and shudder when I braked at high speeds). So far very smooth. Quite honestly I think its smoother than when I first bought the car. I wish I had switched them out earlier.

Installed 5mo ago, approx 5,000mi, on 2007 Honda Odyssey EX. Installed without any issues, appear to be of very good quality, aligned very well with car's mating surfaces and hole patterns. After normal use mixed driving highway, city, all is going very well, feel is good and smooth. They remain straight and true, no wobble that developed on original discs. Overall very happy with price, quality, and performance, would highly recommend.

Finally a brake rotor that has not warped on my 07 Honda Odyssey!! IMO Honda under designed their brakes for this model year and warping rotors is an issue. So far, these rotors are handling the heat and braking has been flawless!
