My headlight connector had melted on one of the headlights on my 2014 Kia Forte. I got on Amazon and ordered the top rated iJDMTOY connectors and installed it with a new headlight bulb thinking my problem was fixed. A couple weeks later I start getting intermittent headlight outage on that headlight and I write it off as a loose connection on my part since it was under 20 degrees outside ,windy, and dark when I installed it. When I went to check it out on a nice warmer day, I found that the new connector had melted and I had actually done a good job. So this time I ordered the GZXY hi temperature ceramic connectors. When they came in I could see immediately that they were superior to my first purchase. Not only the ceramic connectors, but the wire is a much heavier gauge. The heavier gauge wire I believe is the key along with better connectors. Since I installed this, I have had no further problems with connectors melting. I highly recommend this product. I have pictures included with the iJDMTOY on the left and the GZXY on the right. Also a picture of the melted iJDMTOY.
I maintain a fleet of GM pickups and Suburbans. Started having repeat headlight failures. Very frustrating until I figured out the connector to the bulb was the culprit. Simply not handling the current, which causes the plastic connector to melt. The combination of the melted plastic and the overheated metal connection corroding interrupts the flow of electricity to the bulb. If you don't catch this and just replace the bulb, the process causes a good enough connection for a short time. These ceramic connectors seem to be a logical fix. The wiring and pin connectors are more robust as well. The dealer wants to supply the entire head and parking light harness, which requires the removal of the headlight assembly. Not a cake-walk. These have enough wire to allow cutting of the old one and splicing these in on the truck. I would suggest heat -shrink splices, but they're not 100% needed in drier climates. I keep these on hand now for quick repair as I always now check the connectors.
So far so good. I’ve had to replace my 08 Chevy Impala passenger side headlight so many times I was losing my mind. I started reading post and someone suggested a high temperature ceramic headlight harness and I’m so thankful i was able to buy two at a reasonable price point. It’s been several months and it’s still going strong.
Volvo xc90. My old ones finally melted. I bought another set at a local parts store and they worked only a month. Come to find out there are temperature rating for these and the ones a the local parts store are low temp. You need the high temp ones if you have daytime running headlights.
So far so good.....
Definitely the best way to correct GM’s terrible engineering. Used these to replace the headlight/daytime running light sockets in my daughter’s 2009 Pontiac G6. They haven’t missed a beat since.

Very well made product for the money. This product is made of ceramic, which is a great insulator from heat. This is exactly what I needed for my 2011 Dodge Charger SE. It is a well known problem among Dodge Charger owners of this year model that the factory headlamp plugs overheat and melt to the point of failure. Usually causes the bulb to blow due to shorting out. If your headlamp plugs are recessed in a tight spot like the ones on my vehicle. You DO NOT want to keep replacing the headlamp plugs with another set of the plastic type. Do yourself a favor and give these a try. When its 20 degrees outside and you don't have to brave the cold because your headlamps are out again, you will be glad you did.
After burning through NUMEROUS plastic sockets from the local parts house, I grew weary of replacing them in my wife's 2006 Pontiac G6. After reading the (admittedly mixed) reviews, I decided to take a chance on an old-school technology and replace with ceramic. Worked perfectly, fit perfectly, and has yet to melt, lasting more than 3 times as long as any plastic one has so far. No complaints.
Used this on a 2009 pontiac G6 whose headlight would go on and off randomly. Upon further inspection the connector was melted, the coating on the wires melted, and the wires were corroded. Grabbed my butane torch, soldering tip, and this little tool and took care of it in one go. :) Total time at night was about 30 -45 minutes. Really could have used some wire strippers and an extension cord. lol
Got these for a spare, have been having problems with the stock connectors, just got a recall letter about the low beam connections on my car. I'm going to fix it myself, cause I can......
The original part melted so I bought a replacement harness from Amazon, a different brand, but the connector to the actual light didn't have a good connection. The internal pins had a loose connection to the bulb and while driving would shut off. Purchased this one and it elliviated the issue.
