It took some time to get but it was worth the wait. I love having a variety of these pads for vehicular applications.
As a DIY-er i was able to get some nice scratches out of some automotive paint with ease.
If youre like me and it is your first time, be very very gentle. Do no more than 5 passes over the spot, with compound applied, and speed of your tool set to 3000 RPM, wipe with a microfiber towel AmazonBasics Microfiber Cleaning Cloth - 24 Pack and check out the results. Maybe even wait for it to fully dry. The first time i did it, i went a little too far and went though the clear coat.
If after you wipe the compound the "wet look" doesn't go away, yes you went though the clear.
A good rule of thumb is that if you nail catches on the scratch its too deep to buff out, but you can still work on in a little to even out the surroundings and make it less noticeable. Just dont over do it.
Note: if youre using it with a rotary tool, youll need something to attach the velco to. I use this:
Astro 4606 6-Inch PU Velcro Backing Pad
Several newbies complained they didn't know what the different colors represented. If you go to the pictures here on Amazon for this product and look for the chart that shows each color with firmness and purpose it will answer that question. The colors are pretty much the industry standard for the aggressiveness of each pad. Normally go with a pad less firm when starting out/learning and use a slow speed and work slowly. There are good videos on YouTube illustrating the proper method and dos and don'ts.
Pretty good for price, used on a older weather damaged black car where I did not want to destroy my higher end pads. These did a good job where I was putting more pressure down than what I normally use, used stiffer orange pad. Then polish on black, pads held pretty well, considering use on rough surface.
Cannot be beat for the price if you are looking for a nice full set of buffing wheels. They fit my HF 6" buffer and I am very happy with the performance for the price. Keep in mind there are definitely higher quality items. But for my small use this is a great variety set and as long as you are a DIY light duty user, i think this set is perfect.
Well made and work great! I used them to polish my boat. When polishing fiberglass you can be pretty rough without doing damage and they held up to the abuse. I'm sure they would last a very long time when doing automotive detailing.

One of the pads' backing came off after washing it by hand after its initial use - remedied by seller. Otherwise for the $ they have held up well.
Everything worked. I just wondered if there was a difference between the different colored polishing. Information from the manufacture was non-existent.
Perfect for my project. I can feel the difference in the pads. So thats a plus. I havent used them yet, but look and feel correct. Packaged nicely. Perfect condition when arrived.
Good value for a consumable product. The pads seem to last for about 2-3 entire vehicles before breaking down. I'm not a professional so I wouldn't know top quality but these are fine for me to keep our cars and boat shiny.
My wife got some spray can overspray on the hood of the care. With my orbital polisher and these pads it is back to new.
