I installed these on the front of my 1995 Acura Integra with the Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramic 105.06170 pads. I really like the stopping performance of this pad/rotor combination; they work a lot better and more smoothly than the local parts store brand pad/rotor combo I had on before.
I live in an area where the roads are wet for much of the year, so rust on the rotor hat and rim are a concern for me. I've had these rotors on for a couple of weeks now and have noticed no rust. By comparison the Raybestos rotors I'm running on the back got rust on the hat within the first week and they are really looking ugly. The rust is a cosmetic problem only, and as far as I can tell it does not impact braking performance.
These rotors have performed much better than expected. I have about 10k miles on them now, 2 autocrosses and a lot of hard driving, and they are still holding up with no warpage. Key is to let them cool by rolling the car slowly at stop lights or intersections rather than clamping down hard with the pedal at rest while they are still hot after hard driving...
The coating definitely seems to be helping. My last set needed replacing because of rust thanks to the northeast. These are finally beginning to rust after mileage and a winter under their belt, but the coating seems to have prevented it for awhile. For the cost of this rotor with the coating, it was cheaper than the big autoparts stores rotors without coating and seems to last as well if not better. Thought these would be a cheap interim set until I could afford a nice brake set up on my civic, but these coupled with some wagner thermoquiets are all that I will run on that from now on. Good stopping power and longevity. If they have these for my truck I'm definitely going to give them a try when its due.
Paid $17 from Amazon Warehouse on open box. Rotors were perfect, and perfect fit for my 2012 Honda Fit. Installed both sides in about an hour, most of that time whacking the stupid screws Honda puts on the rotor to get them loose.
I will update in a few months to see how they are holding up. Hopefully the black coating on the core will old up and keep rust at bay. Makes them look like a nice premium rotor, along with the nice facing of the brake surfaces.
I've put brakes on hundreds and hundreds of cars and I've never had a car with Centric brakes come back for any reason.
I could probably run these through 2 sets of brake pads, but these are cheap enough to throw out and replace every time. The coating really helps slow down the rust, but after 3-4 years the areas not fully contacted by the pad are usually swollen with rust enough to justify replacement.
bought these to replace my wife's original rotors on her 2001 Civic EX. the originals had started to warp and caused turbulence whenever brake pedal was engaged. I do a lot of research before buying anything, and on many car forums and review sites these Centric rotors were highly recommended, especially for their cost.
Upon receiving I noticed they had a very nice clean finish, which wasn't really the selling point for us, as her civic has the stock hub caps which cover the rotor...
Braking was greatly improved, no squeaks or squeals. I paired these with the Centric Posi-Quiet brake pads.
Feature Product

Description
Centric premium rotors utilize an Electro coating finish that provides long lasting corrosion protection. E-coating is a superior electro-statically applied finish designed to withstand 400 hours of salt water exposure without rusting. Phosphate finishes utilized by other manufacturers provide only minimal protection from the elements; these finishes are generally only effective for the shipping and storage portion of a rotor’s life. The addition of heat and moisture eliminates the effectiveness of phosphate finishes resulting in immediate corrosion once installed in the vehicle.
Great quality! Been using Centric for a few years with no problems. Comparable to OEM dealer part but way less money. Look at the online forums, centric rotors are good quality. Get the premium for only a few bucks more, cause cheap or thin rotors will heat up and warp. Its not the cost of replacement that sucks, its the labor!
Very happy with these rotors. Only one minor problem, which is that it doesn't take much to scrape the black paint off. I'm glad they tried to take some measures to prevent rust, but it might not last forever. Still, it's much better than leaving the metal bare.
By the way, ordering one of these gets you one rotor. They don't come in pairs.
So far so good. No shaking when I step on brakes.
Works, is quiet and has a nice finish on the rotor hat to prevent rust
Much better than OEM for my 98 Civic EX. Huge fan of Centric brakes!
