Great gun for the price works very well!!! I used it to spray linerxtreem with no problems. Ran my regulator at 85 psi,I have a 30 gal. Craftsman air compressor and it kept up no problem. Finished product came out great looks professional all my buddy's want their trucks done now lol
After doing a bit of research and review parsing, I picked up this spray gun to spray Herculiner inside my truck tool box.
The gun:
It's a basic, pretty cheap all aluminum spray gun. I would not want to drop it as I'm not sure how badly it would tweak it out of shape. But it does work well. It does not come with an air fitting, so you will need a female 1/4 pipe fitting to your air hose connections to make it work.
Setup:
The gun is rated for spraying at 7-8 bar, which is approx 100-115 PSI. That's pretty high for a spray gun, but it's having to pull up some thick stuff in the process. Most home compressors shut off at around 120 PSI, so you may not even need a pressure regulator if that's the case. I used my little 4 gallon Senco that has a remarkable recovery rate and had no issues. You will need a compressor that can deliver more than 10 CFM @ 90 PSI or you will be waiting for the compressor to catch up. When you assemble the gun, make sure the suction tube is pointed towards the front of the cup, it's bent from the factory and the most common angle you'll hold it at is pointing down a little. You can change that easily if you are pointing up for undercoating.
Whatever you are spraying, make sure you mask off everything you don't want covered in what you are spraying, including about 6 feet around the work area. The spray pattern is like a cheap can of spray paint, about a 10-12 inch circle at 20-24 inches hold off, it's not a precise spray at all, but remember you are spraying goop. It works well for the Herculiner and I'd imagine it also works well for undercoating as that is what it's advertised for.
Depending on what you are spraying, you'll likely need to have very good ventilation (preferably outside) and use a VOC rated respirator. The fumes emitted when you spray anything are pretty bad, and you are right in it. Don't be dumb, use a respirator.
Use:
It's about at simple as it gets to use, fill the cup, install the head, point ans shoot. There are no adjustments to the gun, except for the inlet pressure you apply from your compressor.
Cleanup:
It cleans really easily and I was able to get it completely clean by running solvent through it a couple of times. The solvent you use will depend on what you are spraying, I used Xylene as I was spraying Herculiner. Don't let anything sit in the gun, our you'll be buying a new one... I was able to completly clean the gun out 3 times will about 2/3 gallon of Xylene, so it does not take much.
Overall I am happy with this gun. I doubt I'll use it a lot, mostly bought it to do the toolbox as brushing/rolling the inside of a toolbox would be a total pain in the rear...
I purchased this spray gun to apply LizardSkin products - based on a prior review where it was successfully used.
I was applying both LizardSkin Sound Control and Temperature Control (Ceramic Insulation).
On the sound control - the gun worked just fine - sprayed the product adequately. It took a lot of air - I had my air regulator set at 90psi - but it appeared to apply as directed by the instructions. So - for the LizardSkin Sound Control - I think this gun does a good job and is a good buy.
The Temperature Control (Ceramic Insulation) is a much thicker product than the Sound Control. It's lighter - but thicker. Almost like a shaving cream consistency. And . . . This spray gun couldn't spray the material. It was too thick. It worked sporadically - but not good enough to apply with any consistency.
So - it worked really well for LizardSkin Sound Control - but not Temperature Control. A good buy if you're only spraying the former - if you're doing both - you might want to consider the LizardSkin spray kit.
I bought this to spray NH Oil Undercoating , Worked great, but after I didn't quite have the lid on and the cup feel from about 3 feet, this dented the lip of the cup making the rest of the gun unusable, This was completely MY FAULT and in no way is a knock on the product. Before I broke it, I was spraying my 4th car and up to that point, It worked Great, So much so I immediately ordered 2 more. I plan to use one in the Summer to spray Bed liner in my pick up, the other will be a dedicated NH oil gun.
Gun did a great job and was easy to cleanup. I used the gun to spray Bedliner inside 20' Jon boat. Shipping was quick and very pleased all the way around.

I used this with fluid film to coat the underside of my truck. I had to warm the fluid film in a pot (double boiler style where I put the canister of this device into the pot and used the gun portion as a hook over the side of pot. I had to let the fluid film get pretty hot before attempting to spray. Comes out a bit messy but did the trick.
I used this spray gun to apply montsliner bed liner. The gun worked great. I wouldn't accuse it of being fancy but, it certainly got the job done, and for the price, I'd say you can't beat it.
Works really well for me applying herculiner and the other brand i used they sell at auto stores. Can't remebr the brand, maybe duracoat? But the liner with the granules of rubber in the mix (maybe the herculiner) this sprayer sprayed like a dream and looks and functions like the expensive spray in liners I have had over the years.
When I ordered this gun I thought it would do the job for spraying a bed liner into my Ford Ranger. I was amazed at the professional finish I was able to achieve for $20. the cost made it easy to toss it in the trash instead of cleaning it, which is something I usually don't do. I don't know when I need another one but for the price I'll treat it as a consumable item.
Surprised me how well it works . Also you can put baking soda in this gun and use to clean carburetors. Works like a sand blaster.
