CarPro Hydro2 Foam

CarPro Hydro2 Foam 500mL

CarPro Hydro2 Foam 500mL

This stuff is awesome. Wash the car as usual (I use a foam cannon) and dry as usual. The shine is amazing. I can't speak for the longevity of the protection since I just used it for the first time. This wash does not create as much foam as other products so I found it useful to foam a side at a time and wash it making sure I didn't miss any spots to ensure complete coverage. Mix using a 1:9 ratio of water to soap. After I was done washing the entire car, I rinsed the whole car again, I used a blower to remove most of the water then dried with a waffle weave microfiber towel. What a shine. I'm sure this is not a cure for cars that haven't been properly cleaned and polished, but on a well prepared car it is amazing. My only problem was that a couple of ounces of the wash leaked out during shipping so I lose out on a wash.

I have used this product twice now, one month apart, on my car and my wife’s car. It contains both car wash and sealant, so I don't have to wax after washing (this is why I purchased it). The gloss and feel of the paint after washing is amazing. Repeat washings are much easier. I also wash the wheels with it and repeat washings of them are also so much easier.

CarPros’ website emphasizes rinsing this product off within 30 seconds of application to reduce the risk of streaking, and I have followed their advice religiously with no streaking issues. Also, based on a YouTube video recommendation, I only use 6 ounces of product per gallon of water to reduce the risk of streaking instead of 14 ounces per gallon, which is the 1:9 ratio of product to water that is recommended.

Before I began using this product I sealed the outside glass with Adam’s glass sealant. Now after washing the car and windows with Hydrofoam, I just use Adam’s glass boost to clean/add sealant between car washings.

Another YouTube video showed that pH-neutral products like Hydrofoam really don't work as a prewash to lift dirt off the car before actually contact-washing the car (i.e. using a mitt). Therefore, I don't bother with presoaking the car with this product; I just give the car a good rinse with water before washing.

I like Hydrofoam so much that after using up my initial 16-ounce purchase, I bought a one-gallon container of it.

There are not many reviews for this product here on Amazon. I was reading some detail forums and happens up the mention of this product. Then I research a little more and what I found sounded like what I wanted. I went ahead with the purchase. I followed the instructions and I was amazed at the results.

I used my pressure washed and mixed the solution in my foam cannon. I sprayed the entire vehicle and used my wash mitt to wash. Then I rinsed. The water just shed off the vehicle. I was amazed.

I then dried and the shine and feel of the paint was completely different. The shine was deeper and the feel of the paint smooth.

I would definitely recommend this product.

For reference I used this on a gray Land Rover and a black Ford F-150.

Very easy to do and the results were better than expected. I did a 2012 Sienna & 2013 Tundra using a foam lance and I was able to do both in no time at all. The Sienna has been outside its entire life and after using it the van looked like new again. I hope that it last but if not it was not that hard to do. The Tundra is black so it should be a good test on how well it holds up but as for now it is looking good. I think that when theTundra is ready for another round I will spend some time working on the finish and try just the sealant. But for a one step the CarPro Hydro2 Foam is a good choice. I did watch several Youtube videos and picked an overcast day doing the both just after a rain shower had made its way thru because the only option for me is to work outside. With them both cooled off by the rain and well rinsed from the prewash I did on the Sienna to get the bugs off the high humidly gave me plenty of working time that allowing me to foam the whole thing at one time. Doing a through rinse they both needed minimal drying with micro fiber towels.

This stuff is amazing. My Yukon XL is 3 years old and has only been waxed once.
Based on my experience with CQuartz I thought I would give this product a try.

First I washed the car with IronX to remove tar and contaminates. For this I used a foam gun and sponge.

Then I foamed the whole vehicle with Hydro2, let it sit for a couple minutes and rinsed it off. The results speak for themselves(pictures attached). Awesome shine and the finish is super slick.

I’ll update the review after a few months to comment on durability.

Description

Wash and Coat in single step!

My car is already ceramic coated, so it works great! I washed the car once with meguiars car shampoo, and snow foamed the car with hydro2 and let it sit for awhile until I power washed it away. Some bottom parts of my car are not ceramic coated, but the water beads up like a ceramic coating after using this product on it. I’ll make an update after 2 months to let you guys know how the bottom panel is holding up with just using hydro2 on it

Update: it is now May 17, 4 months from when I initially used this product, and I am surprisingly satisfied! On my non ceramic coated parts the water still beads.
I wash my car every month, and at this point I tried removing the coating with a high ph soap and the coating remained on the car. I also noticed that dust no longer collects onto my car, unlike with just the ceramic coating on my car felt like a dust magnet. The durability of this product exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it!

My wife has a black Sonata that sits out in the sun all the time. I washed it with this product, and the paint is now slick and buttery. Wiping it with a microfiber cloth is an absolute pleasure! I put 3 or so ounces in a bucket, put about a gallon and a half with it, and wiped it down with a wash mitt. Hose it off and it shines better than new! I have 5 cars, so this product is my new best friend! Big time saver!

Decided to buy a full foam lance kit for the first time, so this is my first time using any “foam” product.
I’m not sure what the recommended steps are before applying this, but I’ve been rinsing the car with a pressure cleaner first. Then I foam the car with CarPro Reset and rinse (no washing glove).
I then apply the Hydro2 Foam and lather in with those special microfiber mittens.

The result is what you see above. The car looks better than when I bought it. The water beads wonderfully, and car feels super smooth after drying. It’s so satisfying that I’ve ended up washing everyone else’s car.

Definitely use a foam gun, dont apply by hand. It works great, retains water and grime repellency for a couple months, and can be recharged with the CarPro reload wash. A little goes a long way.

It is stated in the instructions, but be careful about drying. Use in shade and do only a couple of panels at a time, while rinsing a lot. Results are worth it.
