I use this over the Feynlab heal plus so the hydrophobic property is already crazy but even on one of my untreated cars this will make water bead like a full ceramic coating. You do have to pay attention though because it can streak if you are not careful
My local professional detailer turned me onto Feynlab products over the last year, and there seems to be a common theme with their products: they are chemists making high quality, protective products, but their products are not always the easiest for consumer use.
In the case of this Detailer V2, it works well as a drying aid or topper to give a bit of extra shine and protection, but a few pieces of advice:
- It seems to be fairly concentrated, so don't use too much. A couple of sprays misted over a panel should do the job.
- It is probably best used as a drying aid, so spray it on your still wet car right after you've washed it, and before you dry it.
- If you apply it with dry microfiber towels after you've already dried your car, the microfiber towels will likely cause your car to be slightly statically charged, and your car will therefore gather dust relatively quickly
I don't know how a "detail spray" like this compares to modern spray sealants. I imagine spray sealants are meant to provide gloss and protection after the car is perfectly clean, while detail sprays are more combo cleaning/protection. Feynlab Detailer V2 is I guess ideal for cars that have already been sealed or coated, as it does "boost" the sealant/ceramic properties as far as I'm aware.
Little finicky application but an excellent coating topper.
