This is the first paste wax I've ever used, and I find it to be much easier to use than #845. After washing and claying my car, and trying a few test spots, I applied this by hand to the entire vehicle and let it cure for about 10 minutes. It came off with incredible ease and left behind a stunning glossy look that I thought couldn't be achieved with a white car! It seems to fill in light swirls/scratches.
Once I finished buffing off most of the wax, some had managed to dry completely. Instead of buffing your arm off, just apply a little more wax onto the dry area and it'll wipe off without any issues. I prefer 915 over 845 since it doesn't seem as "greasy/oily" when trying to buff off areas where too much wax was applied. 915 also smells very pleasant in comparison to 845, a light coconut smell that gets stuck in your nose well after you're done waxing your car. Much better than the Raid spray scent that 845 has!
Despite 915 being marketed towards darker colored vehicles, I think it does a fantastic job on light ones as well! You will not be disappointed with this wax, it makes waxing a breeze!
First the product: Simply put, its amazing! I am a shine junky. Self proclaimed and diagnosed. I search and search and test and test. Then I strip the car and start all over again. The Marque is by far the best I’ve used. I have used wax that cost $10 and I have used wax that cost $300. There is a reason why you hear Collinite is the detailers choice at Barrett Jackson. I frankly had forgotten all about these guys and then I came across Collinite 476 on Amazon. The moment I saw it a flood of memories of my dad detailing his cars came back from the mid 80’s. Of course O had to give it a go!
The results are stunning. I mean truly amazing! The shipping speed was top notch. Clear cross country and I still had it in 2 days with free std shipping!
Now, the application. Ok...way too many reviews where people are talking about this product being difficult to work with. Complete and utter MULARKY!!! Seriously...I think one reviewer said if you think your going to hang around your garage, throw on the game and fiddle with waxing your car you should move on from this product.
NO!!!!!
Turning on the game (NASCAR in my case), crack a beer and wax your car with this stuff is exactly what you should be doing!!!!
Either that person and others have not prepped their car properly or they are doing something terribly wrong. It goes on like butter and comes off with ZERO problem. It’s a beautiful product but again, make sure you do your prep! If you see water spots or imperfections fix them before and if needed, during the waxing. If not whatever imperfections are now encapsulated and will be really really shiny so watch what you’re doing.
Other than that have fun with it!
Go watch the Karate Kid. Yes the original one. Then come back here and buy this wax
Wax on right hand
Wax off left hand.
This stuff doesn't need to sit for long for it to do its thing. 1 minute TOPS. Any longer, and the wax fully dries and won't ever come off.
ok i lied it DOES come off, just apply a lil more wax over the dried wax, buff it a lil quicker this time, and you're golden. Pretty nice finish this stuff leaves, dare i say, better than 845. time will tell how long it lasts, but collinite being collinite, i'm sure it'll have decent staying power, ill update the review should this not be the case.
I have been detailing restored classics for 35 years and Collinite Marque D'Elegance wax is simply the best I've ever used. I've paid more for Pinnacle Souveran and used every high-end and mid-range wax made by Meguiar's, Mother's, 3M, Dupont, Turtle Wax and many others, but NONE compare to Collinite for endurance and shine. For best results, do a quarter panel or large section at a time, but don't wax the entire car (or even half). That's because it is not easy to remove after it hazes. By taking your time and doing a quarter or section at a time you will be amazed at how well it works, buffs to a mirror finish and lasts better than any wax on the market. No wax outlasts or "out looks" Collinite Marque D'Elegance, particularly on darker paints!
We have used many products to wax cars, boats and everything else you could polish and this is the very best we have ever used. Goes on smooth and wipe off is easy. The results and staying power is what set this product apart. Longer lasting and the brilliant shine and water shedding quality is unmatched. Yes you will have to reapply every 6 months if driving each day and especially if you don't have a garage but it is worth the effort. I personally would not put a ceramic coating on my vehicles since they don't last very long for the price and they are sometimes extremely difficult to remove so you can reapply. We prefer this wax to sealants also and have experience using all these products. Remember the secret to using any surface enhancing products like this is to prepare the paint surface by decontaminating it with clay and or buffing, then wipe down with a good paint prep. If your cars has scratches and imperfections ALL of these products will make them look worse....You don't want that!

Do not let this dry completely. I layered this over the top of Car Guys Hybrid Wax Sealant, which was done a week prior. I put on by hand to my judgement a thin coat in the shade (inside garage) and proceeded to get distracted. I came back 45 minutes later, and spent 30 minutes just buffing it off the hood. It took a great deal of repeated pressure to get it off.
Let it haze and buff off right away, unless you like buffing wall paste off your car. Debated between 3 and 4 stars. More warning would have been great not to let it dry completely, but I had read enough I should have known better.
** second usage was much better. I only let it dry maybe 5 minutes. Other than a few spots that were more difficult, the rest came off fairly easy.
Amazing product. Results are great when compared to novelty "top tier" waxes. Can't go wrong with purchase as the results far outperform other products at higher price points. With that said, please take the following into consideration: Will only look good and give results dependent on the prep work prior to application or current condition of the paint. For this reason, it is best suited as a "finishing" step during a paint polishing routine. Secondly, apply very thin layers. Like others have stated, this product is infamous for it's hard to remove reputation. The following will alleviate the hassle of buffing for too long: apply thinner layers than what you would normally consider thin. Don't let it completely dry for any reason.
So here’s the deal - I clayed and polished my BLACK MERCEDES (emphasis added) with Menzerna 3800 (formally 4000?) in November. Finished with Wolfgang Sealant 3.0 and results have been incredible. Just got the Collinite 915 and had to try to add it with Wolfgang from almost 3 months ago. (Special thanks to people who responded here to my question about layering). So I pulled the car out of the garage and said “Hell No” it’s 45 degrees, cloudy, and I’m not doing anything. Of course I did a quick spray detail to wipe off dust, no more than 3 minutes. Then I figured, why not try Collinite? Sure I didn’t wash the car and the weather is not great for applying caranuba wax, but my other choice was watching the Pro Bowl.
I’ve seen many people saying it’s hard to remove but I didn’t have that problem. I did have to turn the microfiber frequently because of wax buildup and even use a second one. No biggie. I also did about 2 panels at a time and let rest for a couple of minutes. Removal was easy and surface was perfect. Only one problem I’ve noticed with all of these ultra fine products is that the surface is so perfect that it developes static electricity, which can attract lint and dust. A simple ground wire would probably take care of this but I usually end up doing a real quick detail spray. Granted I just applied, and it’s layered over an exceptional sealant known for its rich look, but Collinite was a breeze to use and even on a cold, cloudy winter day, it made my black Merc look great! Got to drive about 180 miles tomorrow and looking forward to it!
I am a car wax fanatic, who else writes down and tracks the length of time a wax lasts. I think collinite, made in Utica NY is the best kept secret in the auto industry.
I believe this is the BEST wax out there have used it for years. Hey they use it on boats and airplanes!
Outlasts every wax I have seen and the shine is great.
Have to talk out these difficulty comments on here in application- it is BS. Must be written by people who don't know how to wax a car. Do a section at a time, do not glob it just a nice light layer, by the time you finish the section start removing the film from where you started- presto!
My brother told me about Collinite 915, I was skeptical about the hype, watched some YouTube vids on it and decided to try it. I'm impressed so far with the ease of application, it does wipe off well as long as you don't leave it on too long. If you do, make sure you use a detail spray, V07, BlackFire, etc, to help get it off. The shine is impressive, I will comment later on it's lasting protection, although it rained on my vehicle the day after I did a full detailing. The finish stayed slick, water spots were low and even a little dirty, the shine was evident. So far so good, the paint on my brother's GT 350 is deep and flawless, and my Santa Fe Ultimate Black Paint is deep! Nice!
