Centric (120.4007) Premium Brake Rotor with E-Coating

I installed these myself on 2005 Honda Odyssey EXL with new Honda rear calipers and new Akebono brake pads. Additionally, I rebuilt the rear parking brake and installed all new parts and shoes. I also flushed the entire brake fluid system prior to starting this job. Furthermore, I rebuilt the original front brake calipers and replaced the pads and rotors too, along with replacing all brake hoses at the same time. I have been driving the car for three weeks now and about 1000 miles. The brakes have never worked this well and I can only conclude that these centric rotors (a version of which I am also using at the front) are excellent. I will update this review if things go downhill with more miles, but so far so good. I would also caution any do-it-yourselfers to read and fully understand your vehicle's shop manual to ensure that you are installing your pads correctly. This could affect the performance of your brakes and even cause them to seize. For the Odyssey, it was important for me to replace the retainer clips with new Honda clips, buy new shims to add to the Akebono pads, and apply a thin layer of M77 assembly paste in all of the correct places. This will ensure that you get the best experience with these rotors. In my case, I also had to brake in the new parking brake shoes that I installed, and these rear rotors performed great during the break-in procedure. No issues whatsoever.

Perfect fit, mated very well to Centric brake pads. Helped to cure a vibration we had at 70mph. Just be careful removing original disks, be sure to loosen emergency brakes. I failed to do that and broke a pivot muscling the old rotor off, had to wait till the next morning and call several Honda dealers before locating one. Just rotate the access hole to the bottom 6 o'clock position, remove the rubber plug and use a screwdriver to rotate the toothed wheel to loosen the e-brake. You'll know when it's loose when it's easy to remove the rotor. And also you may need a couple of bolts (I think they're 8mm) to help break the rotor loose from its mating surface due to corrosion.

I replaced the rear brakes on a 2010 Odyssey with these. Absolutely amazing! No noise, no issues, perfect fit. Just need to grab the rubber boot/window cover off of the old ones. Love that the flat black part doesn't rust as quicky!

I always look for Centric Premium Coated rotors. I live in WI and the salt just makes non coated brakes look horrible in no time. These are great we have them now on several vehicles. Have not warped and have great stopping power. Pair with Wagner Therno Quiet Ceramic or Akeebono Pro Act Ceramic pads for quiet low dust brakes.

Centric makes the best OEM replacement rotors. Don't get cross drilled or slotted unless you like extra noise and like the style.

Description

Centric premium rotors utilize an Electro coating finish that provides long lasting corrosion protection. E-coating is a superior electro-statically applied finish designed to withstand 400 hours of salt water exposure without rusting. Phosphate finishes utilized by other manufacturers provide only minimal protection from the elements; these finishes are generally only effective for the shipping and storage portion of a rotor’s life. The addition of heat and moisture eliminates the effectiveness of phosphate finishes resulting in immediate corrosion once installed in the vehicle.

Fit perfectly on my 2006 Honda Odyssey. Was very easy to install and braking is smooth.

Received in good condition. Looks to be well made and machined to very good tolerances. Installation was smooth, and it fit perfectly. Initial couple of days of driving, it has definitely worked smooth, no brake noise and no vibration from rotor. So all-in-all, good value for money.

I bought these to replace rotors on my 2008 Honda Odyssey. The rotors are very well made and looks very nice on the car. They fit and work well. I really like the e-coating to keep rust under control.

I've purchased aftermarket rotors in the past for my other cars. Those rust quickly especially after Chicago winter and looks terrible once rust forms.

Perfect fit for my 2006 Honda Odyssey. Easy to change out rotors.

So far so good. I have Akebono ACT1088 brake pads installed with these rotors on my 2010 honda odyssey.
