I used this brake kit when I needed to replace the brake pads on my 2005 Mercury Montego FWD and am EXTREMELY pleased with the results. In the change to ceramic pads, brake dust is virtually zero (along with performance, everyone would love that...).

In my regular day-to-day driving, I (fortunately) have not had to take full advantage of the drilled/slotted rotors, but things have improved at the very least. Once in a while, I do hear a slight buzz/whirr when applying the brakes in stop-and-go driving (not the end of the world).

While the rotors are black in the listing, that is an anti-rust coating that wears off as part of the break-in process.
